The 4 Levels Of Senior Care

The 4 Levels Of Senior Care

Derby Assisted Living is a residential care community that offers four levels of senior living: independent, skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living. Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our residents.

We understand that this is a difficult time for seniors and their families, and we are here to help. With our limited entrance policy and infection control measures exceeding CMS and CDC guidelines, we can assure you that Derby Assisted Living is a safe environment to live in and receive care. Here is a more in-depth explanation of our four levels of senior care, and if you have any questions, contact us today.

Residential — Independent

Our independent living residents live in their private residences. They have access to all of the amenities and services that Derby Assisted Living has to offer, including 24-hour security, laundry, housekeeping services, transportation, and more. Independent living is a great option for seniors who want to maintain their independence but don't want to worry about the day-to-day tasks of living alone, such as cooking and cleaning.

Skilled Nursing

Our skilled nursing residents receive around-the-clock care from our team of licensed nurses. Skilled nursing care is appropriate for seniors who need more medical attention than what can be provided in an assisted living or independent living setting. Our skilled nursing residents have access to all of the amenities and services that Derby Assisted Living has to offer, as they do in our other levels of care, and our skilled nurses will ensure that they receive the care and attention that they need.

Memory Care

Our memory care residents receive specialized care from our team of trained caregivers. Memory care is appropriate for seniors who have Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. Our memory care residents receive premium care and attention, and our goal is to help them maintain their independence for as long as possible. In addition, our memory care residents have access to a secure outdoor courtyard and a state-of-the-art memory care unit.

Assisted Living

Our assisted living residents receive help with the activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assisted living is a great option for seniors who need some help but still want to maintain their independence. Our assisted living residents get the opportunity to enjoy their lives without having to worry about the day-to-day tasks of living alone.

No matter what level of care your loved one needs, Derby Assisted Living is here to help. We hope this has helped give you a better understanding of the four levels of senior care that we offer.
